Assemblin grows in cooling technology through acquisition of Finnish company KK-Kylmäpalvelu and its subsidiaries

Assemblin has acquired the Finnish cooling technology company KK-Kylmäpalvelu, with operations in Helsinki and the surrounding area, in Salo through the wholly owned subsidiary Salon Kylmäpojat, and in eastern Finland through the subsidiary Karjalan Kylmäpalvelu. The operations have total annual sales of approximately SEK 60 million and have about 35 employees.

KK-Kylmäpalvelu Oy is a well-established cooling service company with an offering targeted at both private customers and businesses. Its primary sales, however, come from framework agreements with municipalities, food retailers and the Finnish defence forces. The company has enjoyed continuous growth and healthy profitability since its founding in 1990. The acquisition also includes the subsidiaries Salon Kylmäpojat and Karjalan Kylmäpalvelu.

“KK-Kylmäpalvelu and its subsidiaries are companies with strong reputations and healthy profitability. We are particularly impressed with their sales and service organisation, as well as their competitive operations. Their operations and customer base are an excellent complement to our own operations. I am delighted to welcome their employees and customers to Assemblin, and I am convinced that we will add value to one another,” says Magnus Eriksson, President and Manager of Business Unit Assemblin Finland.

“We previously identified cooling technology as a strategic investment area, so this acquisition is a great match for us both structurally and geographically. At the same time, we will gain a stronger market position, which is desirable for Assemblin in Finland,” says Mats Johansson, President and CEO of Assemblin.
