Assemblin signs a nationwide framework agreement on preschools
Assemblin will install ventilation, heating and sanitation systems as part of a framework agreement intended to provide Sweden’s municipalities with smart bundle solutions for future-proofed preschools.
More than 1,000 new preschools will need to be built in Sweden’s municipalities over the next six years, according to a study by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. The results of the study led to a tendering process for framework agreements in which Skanska was named one of the winning contractors. Assemblin has signed a four-year contract with Skanska, with an option of a two-year extension. The contract encompasses installations for ventilation, heating and sanitation systems for projects under the framework agreement. The first contract is now ready, and the première construction will take place in Mörsil, in Åre Municipality.
“In our assignment, we will be performing installations with separate systems for schools and kitchens. By coordinating our various technology areas, we will create optimal solutions with regard to all aspects of function and sustainability,” says Mats Stark, Regional Manager of Assemblin Ventilation.

Skanska offers four alternatives in various sizes in its concept for turnkey preschools, with flexibility as one of the most important starting points. The ABCD preschools, as they are called, were developed by Skanska in partnership with the architectural company Sweco.
