Assemblin acquires Hallingdal Varme og Sanitær AS
Assemblin is strengthening its presence to the north-west of Oslo by acquiring Hallingdal Varme og Sanitær AS (Hallingdal VVS) with 24 employees and annual sales of about NOK 45 million.
Hallingdal VVS, which was founded in 1988, has offices in Nesbyen and Geilo but operates throughout Hallingdal, Sigdal/Eggedal, Norefjell and Uvdal. In addition to project assignments for construction operations, the company also serves the extensive cottage-rentals and holiday home segment in the area. Hallingdal VVS also has significant service operations, including fixed agreements with most municipalities in the region.

Together with Hemsedal VVS, which the Group acquired earlier this year, Assemblin will have a strong platform in the Østlandet valleys.
Ole Lie, President of Hallingdal VVS, looks forward to being part of a larger organisation. However, the choice of new owner was crucial.
“Although we took the time to assess our options, in the end, the choice was easy. Although we already hold a favourable position in the area today, we are a minor player. I perceive many possible synergies in becoming part of a larger organisation. We gain access to additional resources and can undertake larger assignments. We have always had a healthy business, good profitability and skilled employees. This transaction enables us to improve even more,” says Ole Lie, President of Hallingdal VVS.
