Assemblin awarded multi-technical installation contract for new psychiatric clinic at Västervik Hospital
Assemblin has been awarded contracts with a total value of approximately SEK 200 million to install electrical, security, heating, sanitation and sprinkler systems in Västervik’s new psychiatric clinic.
Skanska is building an extension to Västervik Hospital on behalf of Region Kalmar to house a specialist psychiatric unit. The new building, which will cover approximately 24,500 square metres on six floors, will provide premises for forensic psychiatry, inpatient care and outpatient adult psychiatric care. This is a partnering project and Assemblin has been involved in the initial project design phase. The project is now entering phase 2, implementation.
“We are delighted with this assignment. The project places high demands on quality, flexibility and sustainability and we are very much looking forward to developing smart, fit-for-purpose installation solutions in close collaboration with the client and other project partners,” says Assemblin Electrical business area manager Fredrik Allthin.
The construction phase of the project starts in February and the building should be ready for use during the second quarter of 2025.
