Assemblin to conduct multi-technology installations at SEW-EURODRIVE’s new facility outside Jönköping
Assemblin has been commissioned by Skanska to design and install electrical systems, heating, plumbing, ventilation and sprinklers at SEW-EURODRIVE’s new production and office facility in Hedenstorp (outside Jönköping in southern Sweden).
SEW-EURODRIVE, a world leader in drive equipment for industry, is investing in Sweden by building a new office building and production plant in Hedenstorp, west of Jönköping. The construction project involves a new production building of roughly 10,000 m2 and a three-storey office building of slightly less than 1,500 m2 intended for SEW-EURODRIVE’s Swedish operations. In September, it was determined that Skanska Sweden AB would be responsible for the construction work and, on assignment from Skanska, Assemblin has now been commissioned to design and install all electrical systems, heating and sanitation, ventilation and sprinklers in the new buildings. Several Assemblin companies, as well as the wholly owned subsidiary Bankeryd Rör, will participate in the work.
Planning has commenced and the project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2025 when the tenant will take possession. The project has a pronounced environmental ambition, including intelligent, energy-efficient building technology systems, with flexible lighting systems, electric car charging, security systems and a high degree of self-sufficiency through plans to connect to a solar panels. The building is to be heated using district heating.
