Situated in the heart of Malmö is Vasakronan’s award-winning property Abbedissan (the Abbess), a climate-smart office building that received the City of Malmö’s environmental building award, Gröna Lansen (the Green Lance) in 2021. In its motivation for the award, the jury highlighted in particular the property’s climate-smart energy solution. The building is environmentally certified in accordance with LEED, level Platinum.
NKT’s factory in Karlskrona is one of the world’s largest facilities for the production of submarine cables. The factory, which is operated using 100-percent green electricity, has expanded its production with, among other things, a new tower, the “NKT Lighthouse”, which with its height of 150 metres above ground is Sweden’s third highest.
ESS in Lund is one of the world’s most advanced research facilities, unique in its kind. Here, Assemblin has, among other things, designed and installed power systems, electrical systems (including in the 537 meter long accelerator tunnel), ventilation, fire alarms, communication systems and laid high-voltage cables.
Putting comfort first in the new tower block in Tampere in Finland has paid off with flats selling at a record pace. When Skanska started the construction of two new residential buildings near the Tampere railway station, the goal was to create apartments that offer their residents the best urban living experience in the heart of the city. The flats were equipped with Fidelix home automation system.
With the goal of internationally groundbreaking scientific innovation, high-performance computing must not be jeopardized for a moment. The LUMI supercomputer, used for European research, will be guaranteed ideal conditions for the data center to be built in Kajaani in Finland with Fidelix’s building automation, which also collects waste heat for reuse. The carbon-neutral data center is also a world-class innovation.
Fidelix, a part of the Assemblin Group, was chosen as the building automation system for Tripla, a complex of three blocks and underground premises, situated in Central Pasila in Finland. Tripla is the single largest project in the history of its developer, YIT, with a total value of almost 1.5 billion euros.
The extensive improvement and renovation project of the Helsinki Olympic Stadium lasted for almost four years. It started in early 2016 and the inauguration took place in August 2020. Assemblin has been involved in the renovation project as an electrical installer since 2017.
Assemblin was responsible for the ventilation installations that formed part of the Epic project, a new office building in Malmö that is aiming high when it comes to sustainability and work environment. Epic was named the winner in the Hotel and Office category of Sweden’s Building of the Year 2021 competition.
When sustainability-conscious printing company Niini & Co Oy chose to focus on the energy efficiency of its property in Helsinki, the assignment was awarded to Assemblin. The project is estimated to reduce emissions by 100,000 kg of carbon dioxide, which is the equivalent of the emissions created by heating 41 homes.
